Yes. Beijing Jingdu Children's Hospital is accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), the gold standard in global healthcare quality. Jingdu Children's Hospital can identify a suitable stem cell donor within 14 days — one of the fastest turnaround times in the world. We perform all types of HSCT including haploidentical (half-matched) transplants, which means parents or relatives with only 50% HLA compatibility can serve as donors. This dramatically expands donor options compared to traditional matched transplants. Our groundbreaking haploidentical transplant protocol for primary HLH has achieved a 2-year overall survival rate of 78.4% and a 5-year rate of 73.7%.

Led by internationally acclaimed Professor Liu Yinglong, our cardiac surgery program has performed over 2,000 successful procedures. We are pioneers in right lateral minithoracotomy — a minimally invasive approach for congenital heart disease repair that results in smaller scars, less pain, and faster recovery compared to traditional open-chest surgery. Our program covers the full spectrum of pediatric cardiac care from simple defect repairs to highly complex congenital heart disease corrections, with a dedicated pediatric cardiac ICU for post-operative care.

Yes. We have a dedicated Rare Disease Multidisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT) Center with mature treatment protocols for conditions including Pompe disease, Fabry disease, Gaucher disease, and other hereditary metabolic disorders. Our 800m² central laboratory enables precise genetic diagnosis through advanced gene sequencing. We have successfully treated international pediatric patients with rare diseases, including enzyme replacement therapy for Pompe disease and comprehensive management protocols for genetic disorders.

Travel & Visa

Travel & Visa

Most families apply for an S2 (short-term private visit) visa for medical purposes, which allows stays of up to 180 days. Some families use an L (tourist) visa for shorter medical consultations. Our international patient team provides the necessary invitation letter, medical documentation, and treatment confirmation letter to support your visa application. We recommend starting the visa process at least 4-6 weeks before your planned travel date. Visit our Visa & Travel page for complete information.

Yes. Our 1,200m² international inpatient department features 16 modern family wards, each designed for extended stays with both child and parent in mind. Every ward includes a parent bed, independent bathroom, fresh air circulation system, and child-friendly amenities. For longer treatment programs, we can recommend nearby international-standard hotels and serviced apartments with family-friendly facilities, kitchens, and long-stay discounts.

We arrange airport pickup service for all international patients. A driver will meet your family at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) or Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) with a sign and transport you directly to the hospital or your hotel. Your international patient coordinator will confirm flight details and pickup arrangements before your arrival. Both airports have direct flights from most major cities in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
