The 40th World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC 2026) is being held in Prague, Czech Republic, gathering leading ophthalmologists and researchers from around the world. China's Strong Presence at WOC 2026
Chinese ophthalmology was prominently represented at this year's congress. Globally, a total of 3,014 papers were submitted, with Chinese scholars contributing 1,108 submissions — ranking first in the world and accounting for nearly one-third of the total, a historic high.
Nearly 1,000 Chinese experts traveled to Prague, and more than 400 scholars presented their work through oral communications or poster sessions, showcasing China's clinical and research progress in ophthalmology to the international community.

The study is based on ten years of clinical follow-up data, systematically analyzing the incidence and risk factors of secondary glaucoma following congenital cataract surgery — providing important evidence-based guidance for clinical decision-making and postoperative management in pediatric ophthalmology.
