About the 2026 Beijing Pediatrics Academic Annual Conference
From July 3 to 4, 2026, the Beijing Pediatrics Academic Annual Conference — co-hosted by the Beijing Medical Association's Pediatrics Branch, the Beijing Medical Association Secretariat, and the Beijing Physicians Association's Internal Medicine (Pediatrics) Branch — convened in Beijing. As one of the most influential pediatric academic events in the city, the conference gathered leading specialists across hematology, oncology, respiratory, gastroenterology, neonatology, nephrology, rheumatology, immunology and critical care.
The meeting provided a high-level platform for academic exchange, covering the latest advances in diagnosis, treatment and multidisciplinary management of childhood diseases.

Prof. Sun Yuan delivered a keynote speech on "Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation for Rare Pediatric Diseases" in the hematology/oncology and general pediatrics sessions. With nearly 30 years of clinical experience, she is a leading authority in pediatric hematology, immune disorders and HSCT in China. Her presentation covered the latest advances in using transplantation to treat blood disorders, primary immunodeficiency diseases and inherited metabolic diseases.

Clinical Characteristics and HSCT Outcomes in 134 Cases of Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome

In the hematology/oncology session, Dr. Chen reported on 134 Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS) patients and 29 transplant outcomes. This is one of the largest single-center SDS cohorts reported in China, providing valuable real-world evidence for the management of this rare bone marrow failure syndrome.

Dr. Qiao Bingyu — Omalizumab in Pediatric Allergic Diseases
Dr. Qiao Bingyu from the Allergy Department presented a retrospective analysis of 140 children with allergic diseases treated with omalizumab, evaluating clinical efficacy and safety. The study provides real-world data supporting the use of biologics in pediatric allergy management.

Academic Excellence as the Foundation of Jingdu
Since opening in 2015, Beijing Jingdu Children's Hospital has pursued a path of "academic excellence." The Hematology & Oncology Center has performed nearly 1,000 hematopoietic stem cell transplants, with its leading indications expanding from hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis and chronic active EBV infection to rare diseases such as Shwachman-Diamond syndrome and primary immunodeficiency diseases.
